In this article we reconstruct and analyze the political intervention that Silvio Frondizi developed throughout 1945, in the context of the retreat of the military dictatorship established in 1943, the growth of the “democratic opposition” and the emergence of Peronism. With this objective, we describe, first of all, his previous career and the academic and intellectual networks through which he developed his career. Next, we focus on determining the ideological coordinates of his political philosophy, as it was displayed in his writings. Finally, we analyze the activity he carried out in 1945, which involved his first strictly political intervention. Our hypothesis is that his actions throughout this year, although not without their peculiarities, were part of the so-called "democratic opposition" that confronted both the military dictatorship headed by Edelmiro Farrell and the movement led by Juan Domingo Perón.
