Abstract

 "El Ateneo" publishes the "Reading and Musical Notation 2" by Carlos Vega. The proyect of edition remains unconcluded. This article allows to reconstruct the contribution of the volume 1 that had been thought by Vega like an introduction to the process of musical education. Letters, notes, documents, journalistic notes of the author, allows an approach to his musical thought, to his boarding philosophy and to the history of the implementation of his teaching method in Argentina. At the same time the unpublished song book, with music and lyrics by the author, constitutes until today, an unknown and interesting educational material.
